Joburg! We’re gearing up for the city’s biggest annual celebration of cycling and we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure the level of competitiveness and excellence is elevated!

Entries for the 25th edition of the 947 Ride Joburg open on the 8th of April 2021— and we’re upping the ante by offering the biggest prize purse for a single day event on the continent! Yes, you read that right — we’re giving both the Top Male and Female riders in our 2021 Elite category R200 000 in prize money! 

The 947 Ride Joburg route will test your perseverance and skill and if the enormous prize isn’t enough to get you pedalling (although we know it is) riders can expect to experience SA’s busiest city in a way they haven’t before with a new (soon to be revealed) start/finish venue and route! 

New owner and organiser of 947 Ride Joburg, Faces, hopes this year’s event will be the best one yet! With the current trend of fitness taking priority in more and more lives, participation numbers are expected to surge. And what better way for cyclists to test their newfound fitness than by taking part in the 947 Ride Joburg…

Make sure you have your finger on the button when entries open so your spot is secured! Participation will be on a first-in, last-out basis if entries are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. In the case that the event needs to be cancelled or numbers reduced, riders will be offered a 100% refund of their entry fee.
